The toughest hole on the front side demands precision on both full shots. A meandering creek guards the entire right side of the hole, and the gently slanting fairway, if dry, can carry a drive toward it. Trees can hinder an approach if the drive is too far left, however. The water and a bunker front right make a pin position on the right side of the green tough to approach. Once reached, however, the green is probably the flattest on the course. "May be too tough a hole for this early in the round," designer Jack Nicklaus said, "but I didn't have much choice."
