A shallow, 100-foot-long waste bunker left of the fairway landing area and encroaching rough on the right make this tee shot a tight one. Better to be left in the firm sand than right, where trees up ahead can make for a blind approach. Trouble is all around the small green, which is fronted by a 40-yard swale and guarded front left, front right and back by testing bunkers, particularly the front ones, which are the deepest on the course. Putting is complicated by the fact the green has three distinct slopes. Once again, the sensible play is to the middle.
