The thin green, bracketed by bunkers running the length of it, can be approached with a shorter iron from the left side of the fairway, but a bunker at the elbow of the dogleg, rough and a fairway that slants right to left discourage that play. A drive to the right side of the fairway offers a longer but more open route to the green, which also slants deceptively right to left. This is the only hole on the course that has not been eagled in the Memorial.
