Muirfield Village's signature hole, modeled after the 12th at Augusta National, is largely uncomplicated in the absence of wind. But when the wind is up, club selection becomes a chore, if not a guessing game, because a golfer surrounded by trees on the elevated tee can't tell which direction it's blowing. Water and sand front the green and, from the sand trap or hillside rough behind a green, a chip from an uneven lie can be difficult to stop. "I love this hole," course designer Jack Nicklaus said.
